Personal Statement

I am a detail-oriented web designer with a passion for creating visually engaging and user-friendly digital experiences. With experience in front-end design, UI/UX principles, emotional design and responsive web development, I thrive on transforming concepts into professional web prototypes. Throughout my degree, I have been equipped with strong skills using design tools like Figma, and a knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I am highly adaptable and always eager to learn, and I am now seeking an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team where I can grow and create meaningful web interactions.

Experience

Sales Assistant - River Island

July 2023 - Present

Whilst at River Island, I provided exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and styling advice. I replenished stock and processed transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments. I worked with a close-knit team on the menswear floor, collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver a seamless shopping experience.

During my time as Team Principal, I have managed over 100 members and two competition teams for the Formula Student competition in the UK. Working with finances totalling over £30,000 per year, working with GitLab issue boards, and holding weekly stand-ups with department leaders. As the main point of contact with the team, I have held meetings with faculty advisors, key stakeholders, external sponsors, and university senior leadership.
